This page is designed to help Parish and Town Clerks or Councillors fill in the Community Facilities List that Wealden is launching during 2010.
Q: What do I do if one facility in our Parish matches two of the items listed (e.g. Community-run shop & convenience store; village green & cricket pitch; village hall & indoor sports centre)?
A: Please make an entry under both items noting in the 'general comments' column which the other use is/uses are.
Q: What if I really can't complete this by 31st of March?
A: Please fill in as many of the 'Key LDF questions' as you can and return the spreadsheet by Friday April 2nd. We would still really value further information after this date, but it may not be possible to include such information in the Local Development Framework documents on physical, social and green infrastructure. Other benefits are explained in the Background section (cell A19).
Q: I started answering for the whole Parish/Town, but now want to give answers for each village/area. How do I do this?
A: If you didn't get too far, you can just click the filter arrows in cells E3 & F3 and choose '(All)' or 'Select all'. Then fill in the village/area names in column A. In Excel, it's easier to cut and paste parts of sentences in the 'formula bar' (just above the column headings - B C D etc.) than in the cell itself.
Q: What do the colours mean?
A: Just visual aids except that yellow cells in Column A need filling in and black cells do not need filling in.
Q: Who will be able to see our answers?
A: Wealden District Council intends to make this facility available on the internet, however, the 'Do facility(ies) meet up to date standards?' question will not appear on the web version. It may appear in the LDF documentation.
Q: I am answering for two facilities in one row. What do I do where the answers differ for each facility?
A: Please just write one sentence for each. If you are answering for a whole Parish/Town, you may find it easier to answer separately for each village/part of town. Alternatively, you could enter in the six 'population centre' boxes: 'Parish/Town name: facility 1' ... 'Parish/Town name: facility 6 [Wealdtown: facility 4...] - but named villages/population centres would be more helpful to WDC.
