Beyond the traditional lens

The LSP commissioned research to analyse data held by many of its partner organisations with a view to bringing out rural dimensions of the need for services and people whose circumstances are deprived in some way. Focus groups and interviews were also commissioned to explore these issues and how people in rural Wealden experience them.

The summary report (PDF, 764 kb) is our main report for publication bringing together results from the quantitative and qualitative studies. It is a living document and will be updated as the LSP works on the conclusions and actions to take.  This is the first published version from January 2011.

At seven pages long, the digest report (PDF, 493 kb) gives a brief overview of of the project.

The full data report (PDF, 3.5 Mb) covers all the data analyses conducted by the project.

The focus groups and interviews report (PDF, 233 kb) covers the project's qualitative research.

The project would not have been possible without significant contributions from LSP partners, particularly in terms of data provision, and from other organisations and individuals across Wealden. These include BHT, Citizens Advice, the Diocese of Chichester, East Sussex Association for the Blind, Home Works, Job Centre Plus, Victim Support, View Craft and the Wealden Senior Citizens' Partnership. We are very grateful to all these organisations, and also to the people who took part in our focus groups and interviews.
